F.A.Q.

What if I am new to cycling or if I haven’t worked out in a while?

Indoor cycling can be suited to all fitness levels.  You can adjust the resistance level on the bike to suit your abilities and how you feel that day.  If you’re brand new, we encourage you to try SurroundCycle 101 first to learn the basics and get a feel for the ride.  Work your way up at your own pace.

How many miles will I ride and how many calories will I burn?

Each ride is unique and every rider different.  It will depend on your weight and level of exertion used.  But if you enter your personal information accurately into your profile the metrics that will appear on your bike and later emailed to you are highly accurate.

How can I get comfortable on the bike seat?

We encourage new riders to wear padded cycling shorts until their body adjusts to the feeling.  We also have complimentary gel seats that will help.

Do I need to wear cycling shoes?

Yes, we feel clipping in is safer and provides stability.  It also ensures you use the right muscles during your workout.

Can I ride if I am pregnant?

Many pregnant women cycle and do other forms of exercise training, but we recommend that you consult with your doctor before riding at SurroundCycle.

Do you have monthly memberships?

Yes, you can purchase a monthly package which allows you unlimited classes for the month.

How old do you have to be to ride at SurroundCycle?

What is the cancellation policy?

In order to cancel a reservation and avoid losing credit, you must unreserve your class at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled class.  You may cancel online or by calling the studio directly.  As long as you do so in time, the class will be returned to your account to be used at a future time.

What is the check-in and no-show policy?

You must check in no later than 4 minutes before class begins or your bike will be released.  If you are running late, please call our studio to let us know before the 4 minute mark.  We will hold your bike, but only for 5 minutes after class begins.

What is the waitlist policy?

If a class is full, feel free to put yourself on the wait list.  If a bike opens up, we’ll add riders from the wait list in the order in which they signed up.  Added riders are notified via email that they’ve been added to the class.  Cancellation, late arrival and no show policies all apply.  Class credits will be returned to your account if you don’t make it off the wait list.

Do you have lockers and showers?

Yes, we have premium quality lockers with digital easy to use locks to keep your belongings in during class.  In addition to changing rooms we have showers and offer luxury bath products and towels.

What should I bring?

We have a refill station to refill your water bottle and we sell bottles of water if preferred.  We also provide towels for your ride.  We rent cycling shoes, or you can bring your own.

Do you have special and private events?

Yes!  We offer special charity ride events for local charities to raise money for their cause by hosting a ride event.  We also allow private booking rides such as birthday, wedding party, or corporate team building rides.  Ask our team members or contact us to schedule an event!

Do you offer discounts?
